Intellectual Property Right Protection in HEIs
On October 19, 2022, a meeting was held at State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia with Ani Davtyan, lawyer, lecturer at Armenian-Russian University, founding director of “Lawsuit” law firm and president of the association of “Intellectual Property Right Armenian Lawyers”.
The latter delivered a lecture to the employees of SAFAA on the peculiarities of creating intellectual property in HEIs. The meeting focused on the topics like “What is Intellectual Property?” “How is it created in HEIs?”, “How it should be shared?”, etc. Particular attention was drawn to the fact that recently, with the support of the International Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the practice of implementing and developing policies in the field of Intellectual Property Right has become widespread among the world’s leading universities, as a complete document that reflects the key organizational and legal issues related to intellectual property management.
The meeting was concluded with consent of further cooperation.
