The second reporting exhibition of students from the faculty of Design and Decorative Applied Arts
Annual reporting student exhibitions of State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia, being a part of the educational process, require complete creative approaches during which the student demonstrates utmost responsibility to the gained knowledge, experience and skills and their implementation. Over the recent two weeks the exhibition-hall of “Albert and Tove Boyajian” has been organizing the second exhibition of such kind under its shelter: The previous one consisted of the works of 4th year students from Design and Decorative Applied Arts faculty, while the latest one showed the works of 2nd and 3rd year students. Both exhibitions were introduced at a proper level, presented with care and good taste; professional work was carried out. In this regard, the dean of the faculty Avetiq Avetisyan expressed his satisfaction this time as well, like in the previous exhibition.
The speech of Paravon Mirzoyan-the head of Painting chair evolved around the quality of exhibited works and professionalism. Expressing his admiration about the successful development of students’ creative selves, he encouraged the individual nature of each work and stated that many of them were worth to be exhibited in International student exhibitions.
Vahe Gasparyan – head of Drawing and Painting chair outlined once again the effectiveness of the programme implemented years ago and the success recorded by the student of a certain department when applying the knowledge gained from the subjects of painting and drawing in his field of specialization. Speaking about the rules of composition, he noted that since the renaissance they had not undergone any transformation in terms of colour, background, balance and harmony and the professors had spared no effort in conveying the knowledge to the students.
Vice-rector for Academic Affairs and Science, Mkrtich Ayvazyan, while congratulating the students was delighted to note the fact that those frequent exhibitions of students apart from being a review of creative growth and development of students also were non-compulsory, had a free approach and thematic field. They were expressions of mood and attitude; trends that were welcome.
