SAFAA welcomes first-year students
SAFAA students-newcomers started the first day of their university life at the SAFAA hall meeting the university management, teaching staff and members of Student Council.
SAFAA Rector Aram Isabekyan, welcoming the freshmen to the Academy, regarding them the guarantees of the society progress, emphasizing the efforts to become future qualified specialists, drew their attention also to the participation in the developments of social life of the country and keeping up with them.
“The younger intellectual potential of society is the guarantee that ensures both the power and development of the country and well-being of every citizen. The future of the Republic of Armenia depends also on your aspirations, dreams and determination. In your aspirations of becoming a good artist you will have our utmost support. Be firm and confident in the path you have taken, always strive to know and learn more and success will follow along your way”; outlined the Rector.
Aram Isabekyan’s attitude and support to reveal the abilities of each student and to their creative success, is known to everyone. Introducing the peculiarities of the Art Institution, he noted that young people who have chosen this field must be well aware of the responsibility and mission that carries art and artist. Alongside the high-quality professional education that the institution provides, it also stands out in terms of its environment, the atmosphere created; this is also to some extent traditional, stating the long-standing student-lecturer relationships carrying creative nature. In his speech the Rector also emphasized about treating the students as his colleagues.
He introduced the deans of two faculties: Edik Vardanyan-dean of Fine Arts faculty and Avetik Avetisyan- dean of Design and Decorative Applied Arts faculty; as well as the heads of chairs present at the meeting. The freshmen were welcomed also by Vice-rector Mkrtich Ayvazyan, Rctor’s assistant Mekhak Elbakyan and President of Student Council Mane Makyan. At the end of the meeting the freshmen were taken to a tour around the institution accompanied by SC President and other members; they got aqcuainted with the conditions, visited the studios, laboratories and the library.
