SAFAA received an honorary award
On September 9, with the support of the State Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economy, the RA Ministry of Territorial Development and Infrastructure, the “Media Onix” Culture and Tourism Promotion Company organized the “International Festival of Arts and Crafts” in the city of Dilijan, Tavush region.
This already which has already become traditional, was exclusive in its participation. All regions of the Republic of Armenia, Artsakh, representatives of national ethnic minorities living in Armenia and embassies accredited in Armenia were introduced, which presented the culture of their countries, traditional crafts, national cuisine, etc. in separate booths. Armenian cultural centers, universities, art schools and individual creators have been participating in the festival for years.
Within the framework of the festival, many talented individuals and groups were awarded for their contribution to preserving and spreading the traditions and culture of national arts and crafts. This year, the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia also received an honorary award. The festival’s artistic council appreciated the academy’s long-term activity in making the traditions of decorative applied art and national culture the property of generations. Yekaterina Kashina, acting vice-rector for education and research of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia, was present at the awarding ceremony. The latter expressed her gratitude to the organizers of the “International Festival of Arts and Crafts” and received the honorary award given to the Academy.
