SAFAA is participating in Education and Career Expo 2023
Education and Career Expo 2023 launched on April 5, at Mergelyan Institute with a duration of three days. There were more than 80 institutions participating in this 22nd specialized International exhibition, (among them State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia), colleges, schools, educational centres, and international donor organisations.
The main objective of the exhibition was to provide the schoolchildren and students with relevant information on modern education, promote the establishment of business relations between educational institutions and enterprises, spread awareness about the professions in the labour market of bigger demand, organize meetings between jobseekers and real employers as well as involve state, private and public organisations with their new educational programmes. State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia provided the necessary information to all the interested attendees. In addition, the best students of the Academy demonstrated their professional skills to the audience.
The opening of the exhibition was also attended by Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Araksya Svajyan. She welcomed the participants, highlighting the involvement of schoolchildren in particular. “This is a platform where the needs and demands of education and the labour market come together. Already from school age, students have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with job prospects and get orientated in choosing an education and profession, in order to further use their potential for the development of our country’s economy.”
The Deputy Minister added that one of the priorities of the education strategy is the Internationalisation of education services and products and this exhibition is also a broad platform to present to foreign organizations the educational opportunities of RA and its practical future, to outline the perspectives of cooperation and to increase the range of interests. Araksya Svajyan visited the booths, talked with the participants and got acquainted with the materials presented by them.
