The line between real and imaginary worlds
In his solo exhibition Misak Hartenyan presented about forty works of recent years at the exhibition-hall of “Albert and Tove Boyajyan”. The graduate of the graphics department of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia is currently studying for a postgraduate degree and is a PhD applicant at the Academy’s Chair of Art Studies and Humanities.
Speaking about Misak Hartenyan, the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Edik Vardanyan, and the head of the graphics department, Abraham Sahakyan, emphasized his wide range of interests, being educated, knowledgeable, positive human qualities, kindness, and his interest in art history and theory besides painting. And it is not by chance, as his supervisor, the head of the Chair of Art Studies and Humanities Knarik Avetisyan, said, his education went deeper in this direction.
Misak Hartenyan has had many exhibitions and participated in international competitions. He says that this exhibition is like a finalisation of the knowledge gained during the academic years. “You will have a good path, it is not possible for an artist with such a mentality to remain in the shadows, ” Edik Vardanyan congratulated the young artist with the wish of new, bigger exhibitions.
