SAFAA students and teachers getting acquainted with online platform “DDD Kunst House”
On April 27th Diane Der Markarian – a French-Armenian art critic, curator and contemporary art specialist made a presentation on “DDD Kunst House” online platform that is designed for local and International artists.
The platform was founded in June, 2020 by curator Tereza Davtyan. The idea arose during the toughest period of the pandemic, very randomly, from an Instagram post. It didn’t strive to become an ambitious project rather than a study portal for relations between artists, curators and art institutions.
Thus, did the restrictions of pandemic situation bring out new opportunities in the artist-curator-museum-exhibition relationship; did the temporary closure of art institutions disappoint the artist or open up new opportunities for him/her? Online collection is mainly made up from modern art works but it also presents painters, musicians, contemporary poets and else.

Through open calls “DDD Kunst House” intends to reveal new artists. Among current projects one can find the exhibition “Where Are The Painters?” that will be held both in the online platform and offline.
