Annual Awards Ceremony
It is several years the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia has developed good traditions of end-of-year annual awards ceremony for the students of Painting, Sculpture and Graphics and another one, silver medal named after Eduard Isabekyan. Through the recent 2 years the regular educational process suffered due to the pandemic situation that also harmed exhibitions and events organization. The previous year undoubtedly differed in terms of online awarding. As far as the present situation and conditions allow, this year’s awarding was with physical presence.
It’s a fact that the Rector of SAFAA really appreciates his students and gets delighted with their every success, encourages and supports them. “Our final exams of this year are of small scale but there is a lot of work completed and you showed good results, you studied, made good works and they are all evaluated”. He spoke about the differences of Bachelor and Master level studies, two years of which changed a lot of things in a student’s maturity, mastery and the way of thinking; he urged the students to continue their education to a higher level.
The prizes were awarded by Aram Isabekyan who also outlined the individuality of each participant, their creative features and talents. Graduate of MA level Satenik Baghdasaryan was awarded with Silver medal after Eduard Isabekyan for the nomination “Painting”. Mane Makyan, Lilit Mnatsakanyan, Artush Petrosyan and Kima Gyarakyan were awarded the prize after Eduard Isabekyan for Painting.
